        APSU SoftballGreenwood, IN –  The Austin Peay State University (APSU) softball program has one of its student-athletes named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District ® Team for the first time since 2003.

        Senior pitcher Morgan Rackel was one of 11 student-athletes recognized in District 3, which includes Division I programs in the states of North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.

        APSU Women's Track and FieldGainesville, FL – A sprint contingent got things started for Austin Peay State University track and field team on Day One of the 2019 Florida Relays, which wrapped Thursday evening.

        Kicking off the event, freshmen Tiyanna Johnson (24.67, 57th) and Kyra Wilder (24.86, 66th) both represented Austin Peay in the 200m dash, with Johnson turning in a career-best time in the event.

        Nashville PredatorsRaleigh, NC — The Nashville Predators fell to the Carolina Hurricanes this afternoon behind 21 year old Sebastian Aho’s hat trick, 6-3.

        The 21 year old took center stage while an old nemesis in net, Petr Mrazek, stonewalled the Predators for the win.  Mrazek has beaten the Predators 7 times dating back to his days with the Detroit Red WIngs. 

        Aho put the ‘Canes on the board at 15:44 of the first period when he took the puck in the neutral zone and beat Pekka Rinne through the five-hole for the early 1-0 lead.

        UT Lady VolsKnoxville, TN –  No. 10/10 Tennessee (11-1) heads out on the road to open SEC play on Thursday night, paying a visit to an Auburn team that is 12-1 and undefeated in six home games this season. Tip-off is slated for 6:02pm CT (7:02pm ET) at Auburn Arena, with the game available on SECN+ and the Lady Vol Radio Network.

        The Lady Vols, who closed out a four-game home stand with an 84-76 victory over Belmont on Sunday afternoon, are 2-0 in true road games and 4-0 away from Knoxville this season, including a pair of neutral site victories. Tennessee won at Oklahoma State and No. 12/12 Texas and defeated Clemson and UAB at the Junkanoo Jam in Bimini, Bahamas, earlier this season.
