        APSU SoftballLafayette, LA – Austin Peay State University’s Morgan Rackel and Danielle Liermann combined for seven hits and seven RBIs, Saturday at Lamson Park, in Day 2 of the 33rd Annual Louisiana Classic as the Governors defeat Jackson State 12-2 before falling to 13th-ranked Louisiana, 8-0 in the nightcap.

        The tournament concludes Sunday, with the Govs facing Jackson State in the consolation game starting at 10:00am.

        APSU Men's BasketballMorehead, KY – It seems like Terry Taylor is tired of being the unsung superstar of the Ohio Valley Conference. The sophomore put up 42 points and 18 boards, and Austin Peay State University (APSU) men’s basketball team needed every bit of it in a 73-70 win at Morehead State, Saturday, to ensure they will bypass the first round of OVC Tournament play next month in Evansville.

        APSU Women's BasketballClarksville, TN – The latest version of the Heritage Bank Battle of the Border goes to Austin Peay State University (APSU) women’s basketball team as they defeated archrival Murray State, 59-56, Saturday, at the Winfield Dunn Center.

        The win was also critical for the Governors (13-12, 8-6 OVC) as they started the day a game ahead of Murray, SIU Edwardsville, and Southeast Missouri in the Ohio Valley Conference standings.

Austin Peay State University (APSU) men’s basketball team staged a furious late-game comeback but it fell short by the thinnest of margins in a 73-71 decision that saw archrival Murray State survive by the skin of its teeth before an ESPN2 audience, Thursday night.

        Austin Peay (18-8, 10-3 Ohio Valley Conference) suffered just its second defeat in the Dunn Center this season, while visiting Murray State (20-4, 11-2 OVC) remains tied atop the conference with Belmont.

        The Governors (12-12, 7-6 OVC) earned a crucial win behind nine first-half three-pointers to earn sole possession of fifth place in the Ohio Valley Conference.
