      Nashville Predators defeat the Minnesota Wild in shootout 3-2

      Nashville PredatorsSt. Paul, MN– The Nashville Predators clawed their way back from a 2-1 deficit against the Minnesota Wild tonight to win the game, 3-2 in a shootout.

      The two points Nashville picked up keeps them in touch with the Central Division leading Winnipeg Jets who beat Columbus 5-2 today.

      Nashville faced several ex-Predators tonight with Kevin Fiala facing his former team, along with Anthony Bitetto, Ryan Suter and Pontus Aberg.  

      The Predators brought former Minnesota sharp-shooter Mikael Granlund with them to face his former team as well.

      Lady Vols Roll Past Ole Miss, 81-56

      UT Lady VolsOxford, MS – The Tennessee Lady Vols closed out the regular season with a commanding victory over Ole Miss, winning 81-56 on 51.8-percent shooting on Sunday at the Pavilion at Ole Miss.

      Tennessee (18-11, 7-9 SEC) was led in scoring by Meme Jackson,who hit five threes in route to 20 points while tying her season high of six assists. Rennia Davis and Cheridene Green also were in double figures for UT with 13 and 11, respectively. Evina Westbrook narrowly missed a double-double, tallying nine points and nine assists.

      The Rebels (9-21, 3-14 SEC) were led in scoring by redshirt senior Crystal Allen, who turned in 30 points. Freshman Gabby Crawford also was in double digits for UM with 16 points and nine rebounds.

      APSU SoftballConway, SC – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) softball team got three hits from Danielle Liermann, Sunday morning at St. John Stadium in the final day of the Chanticleer Showdown, but it wasn’t enough as the Governors came up just short to Radford, 4-3.

      Nashville Sounds release 2019 Promotions Schedule

      Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds Baseball Club has announced its full promotions schedule for the 2019 season. The 70-game home schedule in First Tennessee Park’s fifth season features 15 fireworks shows, four themed weekends and multiple giveaways.

      Single-game tickets will be available for purchase beginning Friday, March 8th, 2019 at 9:00am at the First Tennessee Park ticket office, online at www.nashvillesounds.com, or by phone at 615.690.HITS ext. 2.

      Opening Weekend presented by First Tennessee begins on Thursday, April 4th when the Sounds host the Iowa Cubs at 6:35pm.
