From the Serve
Austin Peay has won back-to-back OVC regular season titles for the first time in program history. The Govs clinched a share of the title with a win at SIU Edwardsville, Friday, then won it outright with a win at Eastern Illinois, Saturday.
The Govs finished 2018 with a 10-0 home record in regular-season play. They are the second APSU team to finish a regular-season home schedule unbeaten (1992, 13-0).
In addition, they are one of 13 Division I teams with an active double-digit home win streak (13 games).
With its 25 wins in 2018, Austin Peay has recorded 20-plus wins in three consecutive seasons for the third time in program history. The Govs previously accomplished the feat in 1991-93 (70-33) and 2008-10 (70-28).
Thanks to those consecutive 20-win seasons, Austin Peay is 79-21 over the last three seasons. Those 79 wins are the fifth-most among Division I teams since 2016. The Govs are one of 28 teams to record 20 wins or more each of the last three seasons.
