Clarksville, TN – Senior setter Kristen Stucker, of the Austin Peay State University volleyball team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.
The Johnston, Iowa native earned her conference-record 16th Ohio Valley Conference Setter of the Week honor after posting 134 assists (13.4 per set) and piloting the Govs to a .219 attack percentage at the Blue Raider Bash last weekend. In pushing the Govs to 6-0 on the season—the program’s best start since 1986—to earn her second all-tournament honor in as many weekends.
She opened the tournament with a 35-assist performance against host Middle Tennessee, followed that with 41 assists and 11 digs against Stetson and closed out her time in Murfreesboro with 58 assists and 12 digs for a second-straight double-double.
The Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week is selected by the APSU Sports Information staff each Wednesday during the academic year. Copies in a Flash, of Clarksville, sponsors the award.
Other notable performances by Austin Peay athletes included:
- Sophomore Thomas Porter, of the men’s cross country team, led the Govs with a 12th-place finish and personal-best 16:32.58 mark at the season-opening Saluki Invitational in Carbondale.
- Senior linebacker Gunnar Scholato, of the football team, tied for the team lead with seven tackles at third-ranked Georgia and was credited with a half-tackle for loss against the Bulldogs.
