“We’re excited to announce our 2019 home schedule at First Tennessee Park – the best ballpark in Minor League Baseball,” said Sounds General Manager Adam Nuse. “Over two million fans have packed the ballpark in its first four years and we look to continue the trend in 2019.”
First Tennessee Park plays host to 11 different homestands to fill the 70-game 2019 home schedule. The longest homestand of the season is a 13-gamer from May 21st to June 2nd when the Sounds welcome the Memphis Redbirds, Round Rock Express and New Orleans Baby Cakes.
35 weekend dates fill the 2019 home slate, including 11 Friday games, 12 Saturday dates and 12 Sunday games.
As part of the 2019 Pacific Coast League realignment, the Sounds move to the American Conference’s Northern Division. Along with Nashville, the division will consist of the Iowa Cubs, Omaha Storm Chasers and Memphis Redbirds. The Sounds play each team 16 times.
The full 2019 schedule complete with game times and all road games will be released in Fall.
