Clarksville, TN – Following a 10-day hiatus, Austin Peay State University beach volleyball continues their spring slate 2:00pm, Friday in the Blazer Beach Duals in Birmingham, AL.
The Governors look to end a four-match losing streak when they open the weekend against the Tulane Green Wave, Friday afternoon.

The Govs will continue their three-match weekend on Saturday against Central Arkansas, before rounding out the tournament against Mercer.
Austin Peay had a strong start to their sophomore season, picking off New Orleans in their first match of the season, 3-2. The Governors also had a dominant win over Ohio Valley Conference foes, Jacksonville State, 4-1.
The pairings remain unchanged from the Govs last matchup against Georgia State, March 6th, with Ginny Gerig and Cecily Gable leading the way at the number one pairing. A full preview of the Governors’ pairs to kick off the Blazer Beach Duals can be found below.

Gerig and Gable
Gerig and Gable are set for their eighth-straight match in the number one pairing this season. The dynamic duo has won three of their pairings this season downing Jacksonville State, Spring Hill and New Orleans.
Moore and Panning
Brooke Moore and Jenna Panning gear up for their second-straight match at the number two pairing after seeing their first action as a pair in Austin Peay’s match against Georgia State.
Waite and Turner
The freshman pair of Caroline Waite and Haley Turner will also play their second-straight match together at the number three pairing, after first playing together against the Panthers.
Slay and Theiss
Senior Ashley Slay and freshman Cori Theiss look to build on their first action in the fourth pairing against Georgia State, as they prepare to face Tulane in the Blazer Beach Duals, Friday.
Taff and Stitt
Junior Kaylee Taff and freshman Chloe Stitt prepare for the Govs match against Tulane in their second-straight appearance at the number five pairing.
Korfhage and Darland
No freshman jitters for newcomers, Nina Korfhage and Claire Darland, as they get set for their second-straight pairing after their first appearance March 6th, against Georgia State. These two Kentucky natives will look to make a splash at the Blazer Beach Duals.
