Joining the Governors in the field are Bethel, Evansville, Lindsey Wilson, Lipscomb, Memphis, Murray State, Sewanee, Welch College and West Kentucky Community and Technical College.

“I’m very grateful to the people of Hilldale Baptist Family Life Center for the use of their facility,” head coach Doug Molnar said. “It’s a great spectator course, a true cross country course, and athletes love to run it. Memphis is very strong on both the men’s and women’s side having won both events at Rhodes last week. I’m excited to see how we step up to the challenge.”
The Govs have made weekly improvements now at the midway point of the season. Last weekend, the men’s team finished fifth at the Rhodes College Invitational, with three runners – freshman Hezron Kiptoo (17th), freshman Tyler Smith (19th) and senior Daniel Hamm (26th) – finishing in the top 30. Kiptoo has emerged as the frontrunner for APSU with injuries limiting other competitors, while Smith has finished top three on the team in each of the three meets.
For the women, junior Becca Wheeler has been Austin Peay’s top runner in two of the first three competitions, coming off a 37th place finish last weekend. Junior Sarah-Emily Woodward has been consistent as the team’s number two runner, while senior Unjala Lester continues to work her way back to 100 percent.
