The Lady Govs found their offensive voice in the second set, powering to 15 kills against just four errors (.324 attack percentage). Austin Peay had three consecutive kills as part of a 6-2 opening run and never looked back in the 25-21 match-leveling victory.
Austin Peay fell back into its first set woes after the break, again committing eight attack errors in the third set and posting a .195 attack percentage. The Lady Govs led at 13-12 but back-to-back attack errors wiped out the advantage. Another Austin Peay attack error gave North Dakota the lead for good at 18-17 as they went on to win, 25-20.
North Dakota (8-4) won the match in a wire-to-wire run through the fourth set. UND posted a match-bests in kills (16) and attack percentage (.371) in the set. Austin Peay tried to keep pace with Marsellis providing seven of its 14 kills in the frame, but could only post a .250 attack percentage in the finale.
