Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans use the No. 2 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft on Oregon Ducks quarterback Marcus Mariota. For Titans fans, it must seem a little bit like Christmas.
The 6-foot-4, 219-pound Heisman Trophy winner is the most decorated player in Oregon history. He led the ducks to 36 wins in this three seasons there.
He threw for 4454 passing yards, 42 touchdowns and only 4 interceptions in 2014. he also had 135 rushes for 770 yards. In three years with Ducks, Mariota accumulated 10,796 passing, 105 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.

In 2014, Mariota won the Heisman Trophy, Maxwell Award, Davey O’Brien National QB Award and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award.
Mariota has size, speed and the skills needed for an NFL quarterback. He stands tall in the pocket and has a sense when his protection is collapsing. He has good ball placement and accuracy when throwing from the pocket. He can also make difficult throws when on the run.
During the NFL Combine, Mariota had a 35.0″ vertical jump, 121.0″ broad jump and ran a 4.52 second 40 yard dash.
From Honolulu, Hawaii, Mariota has shown a willingness to play hurt and leads by example.
He led the country in passing efficiency (181.7), quarterback rating (90.9), yards per pass attempt (10.0), and points responsible for (348), in addition to ranking second in passing TDs (42), fifth in total offense (348.3), fifth in completion percentage (68.3%), seventh in passing yards per completion (14.65), and third in passing yards (4,454).
