APSU Lady Govs golf struggles during first day in JacksonvilleAPSU Sports Information
Houston (594) and Texas (600) lead the field. Junior Jessica Cathey had the Lady Govs’ only sub-80 round during the day, shooting a 6-over 78 during the first round. But she uncharacteristically struggled during Round 2, shooting an 87 that included triple and double bogeys. Freshman AnnaMichelle Moore matched Cathey’s 185 total with 84-81 while sophomores Morgan Kauffman (80-87) and Morgan Gardner (84-83) were two strokes back while Meghan Mueller shot 169, although she had the Lady Govs’ lowest second-round score with an 80.
