Clarksville, Tn – Sophomore guard Cory Arentsen has announced he is leaving the Austin Peay State University men’s basketball program.
The 6-5 Breese, Ill., native indicated to head coach Dave Loos earlier this week he was looking for a situation that would offer him more playing time.
As a sophomore, Arentsen appeared in 27 of 30 games this season, including a trio of starts.

He averaged 3.0 points per game, shooting 32.1 percent from the floor and 32.4 percent from three-point range. He averaged 3.9 points per game, shooting 46 percent from three-point range as a freshman.
His first career double-digit contest came in a loss at East Tennessee when he knocked down seven three pointers in scoring 21 points
“He believed the situation here was not going to offer him the playing time he is seeking,” APSU coach Dave Loos said. “We appreciate his contributions to the program. We wish him the best in the future.”
