Austin Peay State University Tennis hosts Southern Indiana Saturday

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University men’s tennis team returns to the court to host Southern Indiana, 10:30am, Saturday, at the Austin Peay Tennis Center.
“We’ve gotten a little banged up, so this break has been good for the men,” said head coach Ross Brown. “They’re excited to get back on the court, and I think we can expect good results from them.” Sophomore Aleksas Tverijonas has been instrumental in the Govs early-season success. The Lithuanian is 4-0 in No. 4 singles – the only Gov still undefeated – and has won his last two doubles matches with senior John Storie. Southern Indiana is 2-1 in 2013, but was defeated by Abilene Christian, 6-3, Feb. 7th – the same Abilene Christian squad the Govs defeated, 6-1, Feb. 9th. Senior Ben Boesing is undefeated (3-0) in singles play for the Screaming Eagles. The Govs have not faced Southern Indiana since 2007, when they defeated the Screaming Eagles 4-3 in Clarksville.
