      Memphis, TN - The Memphis Grizzlies beat the Orlando Magic in Memphis, 88-82, as Marc Gasol had 19 points and 13 rebounds to go with Zach Randolphs 16 points and 14 boards.

      Mike Conley finished the night with 14 points and seven assists for the Grizzlies and Ed Davis scored 10.

      Nashville, TN – The Nashville Predators lost to the Vancouver Canucks at Bridgestone Arena, 1-0.  Vancouver goalie Roberto Luongo made 23 saves on the night to shut-out the Predators on their home ice.

      Richmond, KY – Austin Peay State University women’s basketball team closes out the road portion of the 2012-13 schedule at McBrayer Arena, Saturday, when the Lady Govs face OVC East Division-leading Eastern Kentucky in a 3:00pm (CT) tip-off.  The Lady Colonels own a 25-8 mark all-time against Austin Peay in their home gym, although the Lady Govs won the last battle in Richmond, 66-63, Jan. 2nd, 2012.

      Austin Peay State University GovernorsClarksville, TN – The start of Austin Peay State University’s baseball contest against Illinois State has been delayed until 4:00pm, Friday. The three-game set was originally scheduled to start at 3:00pm but heavy rains overnight have caused game management to push the start back one hour.

      The series schedule includes 1:00pm starts both Saturday and Sunday.

      Vanderbilt women defeat Florida 68-57

      Gainesville, FL – The Vanderbilt women’s basketball team, still playing without leading scorer Christina Foggie, went on the road and picked-up a win at Florida, 68-57, thanks to big efforts from Tiffany Clarke and Jasmine Lister. The Commodores improved to 17-9, 7-6 in SEC play, while the Gators fell to 15-12, 4-9 in league action.

      Clarke scored a game high 26 points while grabbing seven rebounds and blocking four shots. Lister scored 16 points, including 4-of-6 from three, while dishing out four assists. Heather Bowe contributed eight points, while fellow freshmen Jasmine Jenkins and Morgan Batey each added seven points. «Read the rest of this article»
