Austin Peay State University Women’s Tennis Team hosts Middle Tennessee State University

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s tennis team hosts in-state rival Middle Tennessee, 2:00pm, Wednesday, at the Austin Peay Tennis Center.  APSU Women’s Tennis After being swept in their first two matches, the Lady Govs fell 5-2 at Evansville, with sophomores Ornella Di Salvo (No. 2) and Vanessa Tavares (No. 4) picking up their season’s first victory. Head coach Ross Brown seeks his first win as coach of the Lady Govs. Austin Peay lost to Middle Tennessee 6-1 last season, with Vanja Tomic’s No. 1 singles victory representing the Lady Govs lone victory. Austin Peay has not defeated the Blue Raiders since 1991. Middle Tennessee is 3-5 this season, but the Blue Raiders have won two of their last three – against Butler and UAB. Junior Flavia Nagayama is 6-2 in No. 3 singles in 2013.
