      Nashville,TN -  Texas A&M was not thinking Vanderbilt’s Dai-Jon Parker was going to be much of a perimeter threat, but he’s been putting in a little extra practice and it showed tonight with five three pointers for the Dores and a career high 17 points to lift Vanderbilt to a 63-56 victory

      Nashville Predators suffer 3-2 shoot-out loss to Anaheim Ducks

      Nashville, TN -  The Nashville Predators lost in a shoot-out to the Anaheim Ducks 3-2 in front of another sell-out crowd at Bridgestone Arena.  Nick Bonino and Corey Perry scored to lift the Ducks past Nashville for the victory.

      Tennessee Vols Dominate the No. 25 Kentucky Wildcats, 88-58

      UT VolsKnoxville, TN – Tennessee posted its largest win ever against Kentucky with a 88-58 dismantling of the defending national champions before a sold-out Thompson-Boling Arena on Saturday.

      Tennessee (14-10 overall) won its third game in a row and evened its record in the SEC at 6-6. Kentucky, playing without freshman standout Nerlens Noel, fell to 17-8 overall and 8-4 in the league.

      Junior guard Trae Golden poured in SEC career-high with 24 and handed out eight assists without a turnover. Golden was 11-of-12 from the foul line. Junior Jordan McRae scored 15 and Kenny Hall, who sat out last game, returned with 12 points.

      Southeastern Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament tickets on sale Monday

      Birmingham, Ala.-A limited number of tickets for Session One of the Southeastern Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., will go on sale Monday, February 18th, at 10 a.m. CT.

      Session One will take place Wednesday, March 13th, and feature Seed #12 vs. Seed #13 at 6:30 p.m. CT and Seed #11 vs. Seed #14 at 9 p.m. CT. One ticket is valid for both games of the session. «Read the rest of this article»

      Kentucky women’s signees selected to McDonald’s All-American Game

      Lexington, KY – Kentucky women’s basketball signees Makayla Epps (Lebanon, Ky./Marion County HS) and Linnae Harper (Chicago/Whitney Young HS) have been selected to play in the prestigious 2013 McDonald’s All-American High School Basketball Game on Wednesday, April 3 in the United Center in Chicago.  The game will feature the top 24 high school players around the country representing teams from the East and West and will be aired on ESPNU at 7:00pm EST.  The two UK signees will be going head-to-head as Epps will suit up for the East squad and Harper will play for the West.

      This marks the fourth straight year Kentucky will have a signee play in the McDonald’s All-American game, but the first time in school history the Cats have had two signees receive the honor. «Read the rest of this article»
