      Austin Peay State University GovernorsMurray, KY – In a season of frustrating losses, chalk up maybe the most painstaking for Austin Peay State University men’s basketball team, Saturday afternoon in the CFSB Center.

      All-America guard Isaiah Canaan connected on a traditional three-point play and a long three-point shot in overtime to lead Murray State to 78-65 victory in an Ohio Valley Conference.

      Pro Fighter tryouts in Clarksville

      Clarksville TN – The SSF Submission Academy is holding open try-outs for their MMA Team.  SSF head coach and owner Ron Dayley said he is looking for Pro and high level amateur fighters to train and manage.

      “We’ve trained fighters at every lever of competition, said Daily.  Looking to add talented fighters to our already highly regarded roster of Pro athletes.”

      Try-outs will be held at SSF Submission Academy at 812 College Street in downtown Clarksville on Monday and Wednesday nights at 8:00pm throughout the month of March.  Fighters should show up early to sign the required waivers. «Read the rest of this article»

      Austin Peay State University Athletics Hall of Fame Breakfast tickets on sale

      Clarksville TN – The 36th Annual Austin Peay State University Athletics Hall of Fame Breakfast has been announced, for Saturday February 9th at 9:00am.  Tickets are $10 each and go on sale through Tuesday, February 5th.

      Austin Peay will induct baseball coach Gary McClure, longtime team physician Dr. Cooper Beazley, and former basketball star, Andrew Lorentzson, who was selected through the new Honors category.  Austin Peay will be inducting the 101st, 102nd and 103rd members of APSU’s Athletic Hall of Fame.
