SAN ANTONIO – Junior guard Nicole Olszewski was named to the UTSA Thanksgiving Classic all-tournament team following the tournament’s conclusion Sunday.
Olszewski averaged 14.0 points and two steals during the tournament. She made 50 percent (10-of-20) of her field goals, including 62.5 percent (5-of-8) of her three-point shots. All of her scoring came in the second half of both contests, helping the Lady Govs narrow double-digit deficits each time.
Against host UTSA, Olszewski scored 10 points in the final five minutes as APSU closed within a point with less than 10 seconds remaining thanks to her three-pointer. The next night, she scored nine points in the final five minutes, helping APSU close within 12 points thanks to back-to-back three pointers.
Austin Peay continues its current three-game road trip with a 7 p.m., Tuesday contest at Vanderbilt.
